Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. - The text The introduction is written using the letters Calibri Light, size 10 and spaced 1 and fist line 1 cm. Text is typed in a print area with margins from top, bottom, left, right made 2.5 cm. Paper size A4, 21cm wide, 29.7cm high. Layout: 0.5cm header, 0.5cm footer. Text does not need page numbers. - The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
Author Guidelines
All papers submitted to the journal should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The official language of the manuscript to be published in Community Empowerment Journal is Engslish and Bahasa Indonesia.
1. General Author Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted to Community Empowerment Journal Editorial Office using Online Submission, where author register as Author by online.
2. Manuscript Template
Manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the MS Word article.
3. Reviewing of manuscripts
Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation and made by Editor. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.
4. Revision of manuscripts
Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Dashboard. The revised manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.

6. Guideline for Online Submission
Author should first make account as Author on page Register
The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:
- Step 1 - Starting the Submission: After login, click the New Submission button, then enter the title of the article in the title field, in the submission checklist section can be checked as well as in the privacy consent section and click submit.
- Step 2 – Make Submission Details: In the submission details section there are several fields that must be filled in starting from the article title, keywords, abstract, and references. Make sure to fill in each section correctly, even though the required fields are marked with an asterisk, it is better to fill in all fields. After that click Continue
- Step 3 – Upload Files: Upload the article manuscript that has been adjusted to the journal template, make sure the file extension is word. after uploading, don't forget to click on the text article option. In this section you can also upload a file of plagiarism check results that you have checked before and are in accordance with the plagiarism limit provisions.
- Step 4 – Contributors: In this section, you can add authors by clicking the Add Contributor button, adjust the number of authors in each article. In this section you can also swap the author's position by clicking the Order button.
- Step 5 – For The Editor: in this section, the author can enter a preface for the journal editor relating to information related to the submitted article, so that the journal editor is interested in the article that the author submits.
- Step 6 – Review: This is the last part of submissions, before the author submits, make sure again that the information entered is appropriate and nothing is missed.
After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.
7. Author Fees (No Page Charge)
Community Empowerment Journal is an open access journal. Authors should not pay any processing and submission fees for article processing (free of charge). Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge.
8. User Rights
All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.
